Choose the equation that represents the graph below
I think its A but i'm not for sure
@DanJS
@SolomonZelman
@confluxepic
what do we already know from the graph: we know the slope is negative since the line is sloping down and that the y intercept is (0,6) that leaves only two answer choices do you know how to find slope?
y=mx+b (0,6)=
(0,6)= y-intercept the slope from the graph we can find by using rise/run we can see it goes down 2 and right 3 so that is -2/3 <<<< this is the slope what is the answer now?
oh isn't it like (0.-6)=-2/3x+b?
no in the equation y=mx+b b is the y value of the y intercept
how can you find the y value of a y intercept?
we already know the y intercept is (0,6) 6 is the y vale of the y intercept so b=6
ohh so (0,6)=-2/3x+6 ?
no the equation is simply y=-2/3x+6 remember (0,6) does not equal y so you dont put it there you just leave the y there to get your equation
ohhh thanks :D i understand that now :D
Can you help with another i'll make a new question so u get full credit with medals :D
your welcome ;)
i doesnt matter about medals but open a new question so everyone can see your question again
ok :D
