Which of the following relations is a function? A {(-2,4/5),(-1,-1) (0,0) (-1,-1)} B {(-2,0), (0,1/2), (0,3/4), (1,1)} C {(-2,1), (-1,0), (0,1), (-2,2)} D {(-2,4), (-1,1), (0,0), (1,1)}

Nnesha (nnesha):

in which relation x values are repeating ?? that is not function if there there are same x values more than once that is not function

Nnesha (nnesha):

for example first value is x and second y (3,2)(3,6)(2.4) this is not function x's repeated

Nnesha (nnesha):

got it ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im still really confussed

Nnesha (nnesha):

its okay :) so you just have to look at x's (x ,y)just focus on first number which is x if there is same x values more than once than relation is not a function in order to be a functon there should beonly one y for each x

Nnesha (nnesha):

did you understand ??
