How do you get to be a Ambassador?

Some corrections.

An ambassador is chosen by the team of admins as well as selected moderators! Moderators don't have a major role in selection though. Ambassadors are volunteers who help new users out with functioning and features of OpenStudy as well as stay cool and act as the link between moderators and users! 

You need to apply for being an Ambassador, and complete the formalities. Moreover, you need to tell the admins why you see yourself as a good ambassador and what's special in you! You will be asked to share the questions where you helped the users out, with patience and with a proper explanation. You need to stay nice, cool and friendly! Once you start helping users nicely, moderators will automatically notice you and your application may be considered to be a selected one! Though, I don't think we are looking for Ambassadors now. May be 3-4 months later? Just keep the good work going and have patience.

Ambassadors are representatives of OpenStudy. We answer questions from new users. We welcome and greet users. It's our job to be the embodiment of OpenStudy's ideologies. 
Before I go any further, there are strict requirements you must meet. 
◘ Be thirteen or older 
◘ Have a form of ID - excluding a birth certificate 
◘ Have no serious offenses on your record 
◘ If you have serious offenses, an additional process may be required 
◘ Have read the Code of Conduct and Terms, and understand the rules 
Do you meet these requirements? If so, then please read the next part of the process. 
There are some key behaviors that Ambassadors must express 
◘ As an Ambassador, you agree to always be kind and understanding 
◘ As an Ambassador you should let users know you appreciate them 
◘ Congratulate and award positive behavior, and discourage negative behavior 
◘ Lead by example! 
◘ Respect the staff - never talk ill of OpenStudy 
◘ Never disclose personal information if shared with you
