OpenStudy (jtijerina):

(X/4) + 3 = -12

OpenStudy (misty1212):

hey

OpenStudy (misty1212):

subtract 3, then multiply by 4

OpenStudy (jtijerina):

Do i subtract 3 from both sides?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

yes it will go bye bye on the left, that is the reason

OpenStudy (jtijerina):

ok i have to identify the incorrect step x/4 + 3 = 12 x/4 +3 -3 = -12 -3 x/4 = -9 x/4 * 4 =-9.4 x = -36

OpenStudy (jtijerina):

I meant -12 on the first step

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[-12-3=-15\]

OpenStudy (jtijerina):

I think its the third

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[\frac{x}{4}=-9\] is wrong

OpenStudy (jtijerina):

great! thanks for your help :)

OpenStudy (misty1212):
