WILL FAN Mark bought some bottles of tea at the convenience store. Each bottle holds 15.9 ounces. In this situation, what would the number of bottles be considered? A. function B. dependent variable C. range D. domain I believe it would be D because if Mark were to graph total tea, he would do so by putting the bottles on x, and the total amount of tea on y, but could someone make sure? THANKS!

Total number of ounces would be a function of capacity of each bottle, i.e. 15.9 ounces. So I'm not so sure but I think that it would be function

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

we have y = 15.9x where x = number of bottles and y = total weight of the tea

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

I think domain is correct

You have this function: 15.9 ounces/bottle * bottles = total ounces (so it is not A) The dependant variable is "total ounces". The range is the values "total ounces" can take. The domain is the possible values of "bottles".

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes

okay, thanks so much guys!
