Which expression is equivalent to this one? –5(6 + 11) A. (–5) • 6 + 11 B. (–5) + 6 + 11 C. (–5) • 6 • 11 D. (–5) • 6 + (–5) • 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you help me on this one though?

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

i can try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the second one, you would have to multiply -5 to 6 and 11, so what do you think your answer is for the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u are loooking for x its 90

OpenStudy (some.random.cool.kid):

ok well this almost looks like the last answer because –5(6 + 11) can be distributed. so in order to figure this out you have parentheses first but also distribute so -5 to 6 and do -5 to 11 also then i believe you add after wards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@some.random.cool.kid I took care of the second one. Can you help with the first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AnswerMyQuestions i cant understand what you ment my multiply.. sorry
