Hi, I feel that the easiest thing o do is find all the unnecessary parts of the problem involving words and cross them out.

Hi! I had the same problem and whenever there were a word problem I first figured out what they wanted me to do like write an equation or something. Then after that you just have to try to focus on the data they gave you and ignore the other information that is "useless".
