** Will Medal** An expression is shown below: f(x) = -16x^2 + 24x + 16 Part A: What are the x-intercepts of the graph of f(x)? Show your work. I think the answer is (-0.5, 0) and (2, 0) but I'm not really good with these and I just want to double check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well. I don't know.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!

OpenStudy (danjs):

first, factor out anything common to all the terms, in this case take a -4 out

OpenStudy (misty1212):

put \[f(x) = -16x^2 + 24x + 16 =0\] and solve for \(x\)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

you might divide by \(-8\) first to make it easier

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[2x^2-3x-2=0\] then try to factor, use the quadratic formula or cheat either way

OpenStudy (misty1212):

oh yeah i didn't see them your answers are right! ;)

OpenStudy (ccswims):

oh thank you! haha ^.^
