When a substance is boiled, what happens to the mass? The mass stays constant as it changes from a liquid to a gas. The mass decreases as it changes from a liquid to a gas. There is no mass once the substance becomes a gas. The mass increases as it changes from a liquid to a gas.

Ok thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np u want an explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i though it would be c because gas has no mass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mass does not change. The substance just becomes more dispersed and more active, as it moves from liquid to gas. The mass-to-volume ratio will change, but the mass per molecule will not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Soooo... yes it is A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! That makes alot of sence now!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np anytime
