What was the Treaty of Versailles? How did it affect Germany?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Versailles treaty placed a number of restrictions on Germany and put them in financial ruin and put them in a state of hyper-inflation.

The Treaty of Versailles was the main peace treaty to end World War I ;It affected Germany the worst because they had to pay for most of the after-war's damages and basically made them take the blame for the war.

Such as they could have no more than 100 000 soldiers, x number of tons of ships and other military restrictions.

Germany was in debt until I think 2010, when they finally paid it off. (irrelevant)

And like Diamond said, they had many, many restrictions on their war supplies/military.
