A two phase mixture is a mixture of two different states of matter, for instance a mixture of a solid and liquid, or Gas and liquid i.e. a soft drink contains both liquid (water) and gas (carbon dioxide) One way you could separate a gas/liquid mixture is by heating it and capturing the carbon dioxide One way you could separate a solid/liquid mixture is to filter the suspension so you get the solid particles caught in the filter paper and the liquid goes through the filter paper @ayyookyndall
