Find the y-intercepts and find the x-intercepts (if they exist) for y=-xpower2 +16

OpenStudy (juana02):

\[y=-x2 +16\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find y intercept make x = 0 and solve for y.

OpenStudy (juana02):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And to solve for the x intercept make y = 0 and solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what answers did you arrive at?

OpenStudy (juana02):

i get for x= 4, -4?

OpenStudy (juana02):

and y i get y=16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Very good.

OpenStudy (juana02):

thanks for helping me

OpenStudy (juana02):

i have a question why subtitle for 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look at a graph when ever y = 0 you are crossing the x axis. and when ever x = 0 you are crossing the y axis.
