HELP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (danjs):

cut it into 6 triangles with base 8 and height 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there a equation to this?

OpenStudy (danjs):

6 * 1/2 * base * height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

144 cm^2?

OpenStudy (danjs):

yep

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Area of a regular hexagon = \(\sf\dfrac{3\sqrt3}{2}a^2\)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Where a is the side length

OpenStudy (danjs):

\[\frac{ 3\sqrt{3} }{ 2 }*64\approx166.3\] where u find that formula

OpenStudy (danjs):

Area = 1/2 (apothem)(perimeter)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Hmmm.... ok go with @DanJS 's formula then, sorry :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol thank you, I got confused for a minute because she gave me a different formula :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But it's okay @sleepyjess your still smart :)

OpenStudy (danjs):

you can use that 1/2x(apothem,radius)x(perimeter) or just cut it up in to triangles
