. For the graph shown, select the statement that best represents the given system of equations. http://static.k12.com/eli/ecollege/589/8_31558/2_42819_2_31651/788cdb133fc834e443fd5a50cc945e14afd622d1/media/9d55eac0850125781479fe5a536f9ac078cd6c92/mediaasset_1312955_1.jpg 5y – 2x = 5 2y + x = –4 (Points : 1) consistent and independent inconsistent coincident not enough information

OpenStudy (coconutjj):

Like the previous one you posted... what can you infer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the lines cross each other that's one thing that I can infer

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

consistent and independent `exactly ONE solution` inconsistent `No solutions` coincident `infinitely many solutions`

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

look at the given graph, the two straight lines are crossing each other ONE time. since they are going straight in different directions, they cannot cross again. so how many solutions ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

erm... one solution?? :[]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Yes! exactly ONE solution
