Fifteen note cards cost $4.80. How much does it cost to buy 8 note cards?

@perl

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

ok a really easy way to solve this is to first find out how much 1 note card costs, so what is 4.80/15 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0,23

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

not quite, its .32, but now that you have that number all you have to do is .32(8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

4.80/15 = 0.32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

ok so .32 is the price of 1 notecard, and you want to buy 8, so to find the price of 8 notecards you do the price of 1 card which is .32 times 8 so .32(8) is your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.56?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

correct!(:
