OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[\log(x)=y\iff 10^y=x\]

OpenStudy (ajspeller):

Convert to exponential form and then solve. The base of the log is understood to be 10. \[10^3=2x+3\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

start with \[2x+3=10^3\] and solve for \(x\)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

you should be able to go from \[\log_b(x)=y\] to \[b^y=x\] and back quickly when you don't see a base, it is assumed to be ten

ok then...
