Each point is twice as far from the line x=3 as it is from the line y=-2. I'm supposed to use the distance formula to write a general equation to find if the graph is a conic section or not. How would I set up a graph to solve this problem? Thanks!

OpenStudy (perl):

the distance from P(a,b) to line x = 3 is twice that the distance from P(x,y) to line y = -2 distance ((a,b) , ( 3, y ) ) = 2 * distance ( (a,b) , (x, -2 )
