OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what u think pie??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unit rate, from the word "rate" you have to find number of revolutions per 1 minute so 58 1/2 revolutions divide by 3/4 min.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well frist you would have to make 58 1/2 an improper faction right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u say 58.5/3, then multiply that by 4 to get 78

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you are trying to how much in 1/4 time, then in 4/4 time because you need 1/4 t get to 4/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if i find 1/4, then i can multiple the 1/4 by 4 to get the 4/4; u see?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes change 58 1/2 to improper fraction first then divide it by 3/4 remember that dividing a fraction by fraction is the same as getting the reciprocal of one fraction and instead of diving, you have to multiply them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which would =\[39.33333\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the improper fraction way is the way i find more confusing to kids, and i also find that kids get a better understanding by converting it to 1/4 and then multiplying by 4
