What is the average rate of change from x = 0 to x = −2? Answer choices: a) 2 b) 3 c) -3 d) 0

hartnn (hartnn):

whats your function f(x) ?

hartnn (hartnn):

Average rate of f(x) from a to b is \(\Large \dfrac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}\) a= 0, b =-2 so you just need to find f(0) and f(-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you like to see a picture of the graph they want me to use to solve this?

hartnn (hartnn):

if you have any problems finding out f(0) and f(-2) then i can help you with it if i have the graph :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok hold on :)

hartnn (hartnn):

so can you find f(0) ? its the y co-ordinate (when x=0) where the graph cuts the y -axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4?
