Is there any formula to convert three terms to 2 terms of each has one term: like: x^2+x+1 --->multiply by x-1/(x-1) = (x^3-1)/(x-1). The equation is: 4x^2 +3x+1.

hartnn (hartnn):

* if there is, i would also like to know :)

OpenStudy (perl):

so you want to change the three terms 4x^2 + 3x + 1 to two terms (A x^ 3 - B) / (x - C) ?

OpenStudy (perl):

the directions are a bit confusing. "Is there any formula to convert three terms to 2 terms `of each has one term`:" what do you mean by the highlighted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea with any trick not x^3-c specifically.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant not telling me to 1+x(4x+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to use binomial expansion one time for this expression when it's raised to power half.

OpenStudy (perl):

ok so you want to convert quadratic expression into a (binomial expression / binomial expression)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea or any trick which could help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand what you mean :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK the question was expand (4x^2 +3x+1)^-1 for five terms. making it (x(4x+3)+1)^-1 will give you 5terms and they will cancel out ,so i looked for a formula to figure how would i knew that they will be cancelled.
