The coach made the players pick up all of the tennis balls outside the fields. * What part of speech is outside the fields? - Prepositional phrase - Gerund phrase - Appositive phrase (my answer) am i right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you think it is an appositive phrase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look at this definitions and let me know if you still think it is appositive. c: An appositive is a re-naming or amplification of a word that immediately precedes it. If so, then what is *outside the fields renaming?

OpenStudy (brittanydosey):

a prepositional phrase is a modifying phrase consisting of a preposition and its object.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And outside the fields is modifying. :) So it will be A then.
