What is the solution to (1/2)x + (3/2) = 2^x?

I've worked on this for a while now, I think I'm thinking about this completely wrong. Mind giving me a little help? Thanks! :)
it's actually multiple choice, the options are x=1, x=2, x=4 or x=8
plug in to see which answer works
replace x with 1 and see if you the same thing on both sides if you do then x=1 is a solution if you don't then x=1 is not a solution do the same thing for the other choices as well
