RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND REALLY CONFUSED, DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS! HELP ME! What is the average acceleration of a jet ski that goes from rest to 10 m/s west in 4 s? Take the direction west to be positive, and east to be negative. A. 2.5 m/s2 B. -2.5 m/s2 C. 0.4 m/s2 D. -0.4 m/s2

OpenStudy (mrnood):

what is the change in velocity as given to you in the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats all it gives me: "jet ski that goes from rest to 10 m/s west in 4 s"

OpenStudy (mrnood):

so it starts at rest (0 m/s) and finishes at +10 m/s so what is the change?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

no the acceleration is change of velocity DIVIDED by time you are nearly there.. try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divided lol thats what i meant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So A

OpenStudy (mrnood):

so you were not totally confused! :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
