could you guys please help ill give you a medal: For the data in each table, tell whether y varies directly with x. If it does, write an equation for the direct variation. (x,y) ------- (-1,-6) (2,3) (5,12) (9,24)

could you please help?

Hmm, I'm not good at this stuff however, I will try. I must admit though I'm terrible at this stuff haha, let's take a look. The only one i understand here hun is -1, -6 & 5,12 which don't directly varie with X so therefore they don't need a equation written, let me take a look at the others... one moment

Ok so, I know 9,24 is directly varied and can be written like this: 24x(x)=9 x (y). Now the other one I don't quite so know... give me one minute.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2,3 could really be written in a direct varie as 3x(y)(x)=2 Pretty basic.... Like I said, I'm bad at this stuff so I'm sorry if i'm wrong hun :(

thats alright lol thanks for the help
