f(x) = x^3 - 5x^2 + 2x + 8

@dtan5457 Can you help with this one?

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

just go the easy way and make a table then create random x values and substitute them on the equation to get the y values and then pace them on the graph

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

and then you'll get B as your answer :)

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Thank you!!! :)

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

no problem :) thank you for the medal :)

Here is a good site to check your work. Here is the graph http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=f%28x%29+%3D+x%5E3+-+5x%5E2+%2B+2x+%2B+8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As you can see B passes through the roots of the equation, which are -1, 2 and 4
