Rabies is a deadly disease that progresses rapidly. What type of treatment would be best for a person who has not been vaccinated for rabies and has been bitten by a raccoon with rabies? The person should be given vitamins and advised to exercise to boost the immune system. The person should be isolated to see if they develop the symptoms of rabies. The person should be injected with rabies antibodies right away. The person should be given a series of antibiotic drugs.
I'm think C or D..leaning more towards D though.. @Abhisar
medal me
c
lol, option A xD ok, now on serious note. For option D Antibiotics work mainly against bacteria, they are non-effective against viruses because they are acellular.
Whenever we have to treat any disease or any condition which progresses rapidly and the body do not have antibodies against its pathogenic antigens the best and quickest way is to inject them with already performed antibodies. For example to treat a person with snake bite or whenever a person gets a deep cut we give them a performed antibodies against tetanus antigens to prevent disease like tetanus. Similar treatment is done for rabies.
FYI: Cause of rabies is a virus named as Rabdo virus or simply Rabies virus.
Oh..
Oops.. I thought C and D both said 'antibiotics'
Getting me?
But C says antibodies..
Yep, so we should inject them with antibodies..
