Why is os continually crashing?

OpenStudy isn't usually this laggy, but we hit a little rough patch and all =) We gotta be patient for this to pass over

Oh OK, but what is causing the lag? yesterday a friend of mine got a message from someone saying they were hacking OS and then it crashed a few minutes later. Could this be the cause?

Its viruses and the person who made the website didn't put a wall to stop them from messing it os is messing up i  think not because of hacking...
