how to find inverse of inverse function

OpenStudy (batman*):

^-1

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

please state what the function is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+3/x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and even how to find domain and range

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

alright, give me a minute as i show my work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

alright, so what you do with y=x+3/x-2 switch the letters to get x=y+3/y-2 1. you take out the denominator multiply x-2 by y and you get yx-2x=y+3 2. isolate y by subtracting it, and isolate x and the whole number to another side yx-y=2x+3 3. factor y to get y(x-1)=2x+3 now your final inverse would be y=2x+3/x-1

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

@Sadworld @mathstudent55 @AriPotta can you guys check this for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya wat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I second @dtan5457

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

alright cool, thanks. just making sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to do simpler expression of 2ln sqaureroot e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt[e]{2}?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 ln squareroot e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1421189810863:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how u solved it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculator :/

Same, been ages for me too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know how to do without calci

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope :/ You can try asking one of the greens for help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 ln( e^(1/2) ) = 2 [ 1/2 ln(e) ] = 2 [ 1/2 * 1 ] = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you so much got it genius
