If Z is the midpoint of what are x, RZ, and RT?

OpenStudy (ajspeller):

Since Z is the midpoint you can set those expressions equal to each other to find x. Substitute x back into the expression to figure out the length of RT. Then divide RT by 2 to find the value for RZ and RT, they should be the same length.

I know I sound like an idiot. But how do you divide letters? @ajspeller

OpenStudy (ajspeller):

First solve 8x-10 = 150

OpenStudy (ajspeller):

Add 10 to both sides and then divide by 8. This tell you the value for x.

OpenStudy (ajspeller):

Substitute that x value in 8x-10. This gives you the length of RZ.

OpenStudy (ajspeller):

You see the ZT is 150. Add what you found RZ to be to ZT to get RT. Then you are done.

Thanks man

Thanks @ajspeller
