OpenStudy (turingtest):

The apparently forgotten rules of the music group: Do: Post questions about music theory and structure, original music and works in progress posted for peer review and advice. Don't: Post links to other artist's work, anything containing explicit material, survey questions (such as "who like such-and-such band?") I know there are more, but I can't remember them, and perhaps some have been added or changed. Hopefully and admin or another moderator will come in and elaborate on them.

Here is @Abhisar 's post http://openstudy.com/updates/5476e547e4b013982de9ce52

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Thanks I didn't know about that. He needs to rewrite it I think, the bump limit is getting too high.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Music rules should a sticky of some sort. So they can be viewed easier and easier remembered

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Good idea!

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Thanx :3

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

can we get a bump

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

^

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

bump

OpenStudy (thepotatoking81):

@e.mccormick Do u know why my post was deleted? I was wondering. I guessed it was because I was posting my own music, but the rules say we can post our original work, so I was confused.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

Needs a bump again ladies... http://prntscr.com/7a09e5

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

TPK81, As Turing points out, "original music and works in progress posted for peer review and advice." Saying, "I like it!" is not peer review. The issues are as much in the replies as anything else. People are not discussing the technical aspects and how to improve the work. Instead, it is just a massive effort to get liked and fans. That comes down to the difference between learning or teaching and doing aggrandizement or promotion.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

^ sounds like me tbh .-.

OpenStudy (thepotatoking81):

but I had just made the post so I was actually waiting for feedback and reviews from others. Since u deleted the post, i couldn't get that, so no offense, but get rid of the rule if no one can do it, cause I post my original work to get feedback on it, and you guys deleted it. just sayin, cause it made me mad.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

It gets hard to go through 500 song posts and find which ones are validly structured and which ones are not. This makes it far easier to delete them all and try and maintain it better after.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I had to get onto people numerous times about these thing! It has been getting a bit annoying when they report me for trying to help them out of trouble, but yet I am the bad guy. What can I do. -_-

OpenStudy (thepotatoking81):

I still don't understand, Can I post my music as long as I am trying to get feedback?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Depends on the type of feedback. Are you trying to get people to like it or are you trying to get people to work with you on learning to make better songs? The key is the learning part.

OpenStudy (thepotatoking81):

Work with me. I also want ppl to tell me if its good to them or not, but I also want them to help me out if they can.
