Name three ways American women helped during the Revolution.

Most women did the job of their men who had left the farms to fight the war, or else picked up their businesses. In running the farms, they continued to provide food and materials for the troops who desperately needed them.
No women served openly in the military as women, although a few (most notably Deborah Sampson) went undercover and served as men. A few also actively were spies. But the majority of women helped on the home front to further the patriot cause by providing food, clothing, and supplies by making them.
