OpenStudy (mokeira):

I am having a problem sketching this graph, someone please help.... pic attached in comments below

OpenStudy (mokeira):

Nnesha (nnesha):

piece wise function

OpenStudy (mokeira):

im having problems with the second and last one...do they have one common point somewhere when you sketch the graph?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

just draw all those three functions that define the piecewise function and then erase the unneeded parts regarding the the intervals that you are given

Nnesha (nnesha):

for 2nd one it says \[-1 \le x < 1\] mean x is greater than or equal to -1 or less than 1

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

the second is just a parabola we are only interest in the parts from -1 to 1

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

the left end is included the right end you have to make a circle

Nnesha (nnesha):

so you can use -1 or 0 to find table values

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

the best thing for you to do is graph all the three parts and forgot the interval once you do that then go back and see what you need to erase looking at the interval and make sure to include or exclude depending on what the interval is saying

OpenStudy (mokeira):

hmmm ok...this is what i have

OpenStudy (mokeira):

am i on the right track
