First you need to rearrange the given formula to the form s = (some expression). As a first step we can swap the left and right hand sides to give: \[\large \frac{s^{2}}{30.25}=0.75d\ .....(1)\] Now if you multiply both sides of (1) by 30.25 you will have a formula for s^2.

Then you can take the square root of both sides of your formula for s^2 to get the required formula for s. Next you plug the given value of d in feet into your formula and calculate to find the value of s.
