Choose the correct description of the graph of the compound inequality: 3x + 1 > 7 and 4x less than or greater to 24 A number line with an open circle on 2, a closed circle on 6, and shading in between A number line with an open circle on 2, shading to the left, and a closed circle on 6, shading to the right A number line with a closed circle on 2, shading to the left, and an open circle on 6, shading to the right A number line with a closed circle on 2, an open circle on 6, and shading in between

Do i have to explain?
it would be nice.
First you need to solve each inequality for x. :) For the first one, subtract 1 from both sides then divide both sides by 3. For the second one, divide both sides by 4. What are your new simplified inequalities?
x=2 and x= 6
so u got either A or D.. which do u think it is?
D?
Don't forget you're using inequality signs! :) x is greater then 2 and x is less then or equal to 6
My bad: *than
yep @taylor11223322
really!?! thank you both for the help
np :)
You prolly juss tagged the #PowerMathletes
Actually, notice there should be an open circle on 2 b/c it only says "greater than" not "greater than or equal to."
its not D?
A was the correct answer Lol D just has the circles switched up :P
okay. thank you.
