OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

What is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 8 but ima post it one at a time so we wont get confused lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, just make sure you open a new post for each question :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the first 3 and ok

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

mk, so can you tell me what you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am not sure but if i were to guess the best answer it would be the 1st or 2nd?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Any percentage of a number is that percent in decimal form times the original number. For example, 62% of 31 would be .62*31.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so this would be 73*215

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

So, with that information, which one do you think?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Don't forget the decimal point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

What did you multiply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its B

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Oh, yes it is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay lol

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

What do you think for the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im stuck between A and B

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Hmmmm.... Just a min

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, can you solve each equation for n? I will say that is is either A or B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first one is n= 1081/50 the second one is n= 1150/47

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Sorry, the lag is horrible right now.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, now find the exact value of both of those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry it was lagging lol and how do you find the exact value?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Just input those into your calculator. for the first one you should end up with 21.something, for the second one, 24.something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first 21.62 second 24.46

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

mk, now divide both of those by 100 to get the decimal percentage, then multiply each by 94 and see which comes out to 23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First 20.32 Second 22.99

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok, so which one is 23?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second one

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now #3

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

k, what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 80*40 right?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

mmmm, not quite. 80=.4*n.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Can you figure it out from that equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

200

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright ima post the next question in a different post so its fair.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

mk

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
