you have a refrigerator magnet you hook up electricity to?
OpenStudy (brucebaner):
no
OpenStudy (danjs):
The fan has a motor, the motor is just as an electromagnet. Current flows through coils of wire, and the rotor in the middle spins in response to changing magnetic fields due to how the thing is built. The current switches direction every part of a turn.
OpenStudy (danjs):
A generator is the same thing, in reverse, a force is used to spin the rotor, and you get electricity out of it.
OpenStudy (brucebaner):
is it Fan
