If 3 pomegranates and 2 kumquats cost $13, and 2 pomegranates and 4 kumquats cost $10, what is the price of one kumquat in dollars? Enter your response as a simplified fraction.

okay this is one of those two equations again so let pomegranates be x and kumquats be y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so just by reading the problem it is 3 pomegranates and 2 kumquates cost 13 so 3x+2y=13 2 pomegranates and 4 kumquats cost 10 so 2x+4y=13
