Use the distributive property to rewrite 2(2+x) , then simplify.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 2x+4 when you simplify is, but how would you rewrite it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Distributing the 2 is how you rewrite it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would that look if you were to rewrite it

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

I don't think that there is really anything else to do.... maybe @Kainui could clarify?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you rewrite the problem before simplifying?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an algebraic expression

OpenStudy (kainui):

Yeah it seems like distributing it is how you rewrite it... Unless you were given the value of x, I don't think there's anything else you can do here!
