then y=6 and x=6

no if y= 6 and x=6
that means the original graph has to cross y axis at 6 and x-axis at 6 as well

i made it clear the slop has to move up to cut at 6 vertically and horizontally. So think about it if the slop moves up wards or perhaps get out a piece of paper and draw the new line, it'll be easy for you to  make sense then
