the perimeter of a circular sector, whose angle is 1.5 radians, is 14 inches. find the angle of the sector.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 inches.

OpenStudy (aaronandyson):

It's perimeter. Should be double radius + arc length = 14 inches 2r + 1.5r = 14 inches 3.5r = 14 inches r = 4 inches. @heavenfun13 no direct ans against the CoC

OpenStudy (aaronandyson):

i posted it above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@heavenfun13 @AaronAndyson but my teacher said that 1.5 is the central angle.. is that correct?

OpenStudy (aaronandyson):

same i think

OpenStudy (aaronandyson):

more q's?

OpenStudy (thomas5267):

Isn't that 1.5 radian? It is given in the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AaronAndyson im really confused about the 1.5 rad.. sorry, is that the arc or the angle?

OpenStudy (aaronandyson):

equivalent to the angle subtended at the centre of a circle by an arc equal in length to the radius.

please @Abhisar @AnswerMyQuestions @Albany_Goon @MrNood @allamericangirl1997

OpenStudy (mrnood):

your question seems to have a mistake - it tells you the angle is 1.5 rad - than asks you to find the angle. Please check what you wrote...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rite O.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MrNood oh yes, thank you for correcting..,im sorry just too busy..
