Well, it depends on which food you're talking about. Plants, fruits, veggies? Yeah, It'd be better, for one, they're fresher, and two, they don't have any chemicals or anything on them that could (possibly) be harmful.

i would say good because its fresh^ two the government sometimes puts bad chemicals in the fruits and veggies to make them the right color so people will buy them. that's why we have most fruits and veggies in the winter.
