Solve the following equation: 3t - 12 = 4 - t

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

1. add \(\large\color{slate}{t }\) to both sides. 2. add \(\large\color{slate}{12}\) to both sides. 3. divide both sides by \(\large\color{slate}{4 }\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so first off you want to get your whole numbers on one side.... So add twelve, since it is the opposite of subtraction, to four. giving you the following... 3t=16-t Now get your Ts on the opposite side. So, you add t to 3t. Giving you the following... 4t=16. then divide 16 by four

OpenStudy (raphaelll):

Thanks guys
