Descriptive statistics is the discipline of quantitatively describing the main features of a collection of information, or the quantitative description itself. We use inferential statistics to try to infer from the sample data what the population might think. Or, we use inferential statistics to make judgments of the probability that an observed difference between groups is a dependable one or one that might have happened by chance in this study. Knowing this, what do you think the answer might be?

A

Descriptive statistics includes statistical procedures that we use to describe the population we are studying. The data could be collected from either a sample or a population, but the results help us organize and describe data.
