OpenStudy (dtan5457):

weird signs, what class is this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probability statistics

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Okay, well for this first question.. that is simply 16/93=? the 2nd question the one with the sign of "u" is 38.2 because that symbol means what is the mean of the population? to get the "x bar", just find the mean of the given samples (32,28,41,38, and 45)

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

understood?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

the symbols just make it look harder than it really is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first one i got 5.8125 @dtan5457

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

16 divided by 93?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh one secons\d and 2 its D OR A?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

not really sure what your asking lol

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

the first one is D 16/93=rounded to 17%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FOR NUMBER 2 IN THE ATTACHMENT IS IT A OR D?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

its actually neither. its b or c.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

i just told you that "u" is the mean average of the entire population, which is 38.2 in this case

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

to get "bar x" just get the mean of the sample numbers they gave you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aha I got C for the first one

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

the first question is D i gave you the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i told you that the first time no problem and the second

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

32+28+41+38+45=184 184/5= bar x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok just to make sure #1. 17% #2. 36.8 correct?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

give me the letter answer for the #2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

µ = 38.2 wpm, = 36.8 wpm

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank You,can you plz help me with 1 more?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Forty percent of the seeds in a packet produce white flowers. The rest produce pink flowers. Use the Table of Random Digits on pp. A-3 to A-4 in the reference guide to simulate randomly planting 25 seeds. Let the digits 1, 2, 3, and 4 represent planting a seed for a white flower. If you start at the beginning of line 136, how many seeds for white flowers are planted? (Points : 1) 7 9 10 12

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

what's the table of random digits?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

sorry but i have never heard of that in my life

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

simply cause i never took statistics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no problem @dtan5457 do u know anyone that could help plz

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

hmm it's best if you ask this question again so it's a new question and people can see it
