Solve the following system of equations. -3x + 5y = 68 x + 4y = 51

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) x = -1, y = 13 B) x = 8, y = 10.75 C) x = 13, y = -1 D) x = 2, y = 14.8 I think it's B...

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

multiply the bottom equation by 3 then add the equations cancelling the x's solve for y plug y value back into either equation for x
