Please Help! Nutrients are brought to compact bone through which mechanism? a. diffusion through the bony matrix b. diffusion through canaliculi c. transport through Haversian Canals d. transport through collagen fibers I'll give you a medal and everything

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

it would be C. The osteon is the structural unit of compact bone. Haversian system is a microscopic, structural unit of compact bone also called the osteon. And blood vessels run through the harvesian canals and you should already know that nutrients are carried throughout blood so :)
