OpenStudy (czarluc):

Idk if this question is related to this subject but how do you read 26'-8" ? it's a measurement on a floorplan of a house

OpenStudy (anonymous):

26 ft and 8 inches

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

\(\huge\color{blue}{Welcome~To~OpenStudy!}\) @czarluc This is the design section. For future reference on how to switch subjects click the "Find More Subjects" button at the top and search for the correct section. Now for your problem. The \(\huge\color{blue}{'}\) means feet. The \(\huge\color{blue}{"}\) means inches. The `'` means feet. The `"` means inches. And since the question says 26' and 8" we can easily change the question to say 26 feet and 8 inches.

OpenStudy (kohai):

Yeah, ' is generally feet and " is inches

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (czarluc):

thanks for the replies
