In the figure, ABCD in a trapezoid. Given that AD is parallel to EC and EB=2(AE) Find the area of ABCD and AEFD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[A(ABCD)=\frac{(B_1+B_2)}{2}h \] I know that \[AB= AE+AB=AE+2AE =3AE\] since EB=2AE and by substituting to the formula. \[A(ABCD)=\frac{(3AE+AE)}{2}h = 2(AE)h\] is this right? Please help also I don't know how to get \[A(AEFD)\]
