If the outliers are not included, what is the mean of the data set? 76 ,79, 80, 82, 50, 78, 83, 79, 81, 82 A. 77 b. 78 c. 79 d. 80
do you know the definition of mean ??
I believe the only outlier is 50. Finding the mean would be 80.11.
Just wanted to make sure I didnt miss any outliers. The answer would be D, right?
nope :(
mean average so add all numbers and divide the total number u have
\[(76 +79+80+82+ 50+78+ 83+79+ 81+82)/ 10\] solve this there are 10 number n data set
The means not suppose to include the outlier though...
^.^ If the OUTLIERS are NOT included, what is the mean of the data set? i just read what is mean ^.^ :P that's why on the exam the write capital NOT <--like this
Oh, sorry. So then it would be D right? Because it would be 720 / 9 which is 80.
looks good but not sure tbh
@Directrix ???
50 is the only outlier. Take it out of the set. Add the other 9 data points and divide by 9. I got 80 for the mean of those 9 numbers.
50 is the only outlier mean ??? good job studygeek15
Thank you @Nnesha and @Directrix
