Is this story problem correct?
My Problem #2: The football teams of the game will need football uniforms. The uniforms needed are: 10 red uniforms costing $3.70 10 blue uniforms costing $5.30 You have $800.00 to spend on all the uniforms. How many black-and-white-striped uniforms can you purchase for the referees if those uniforms cost $2.50 each? If you spend less than your budget, how much money do you have left over? ($800.00 - (10 * $3.70 + 10 * $5.30) - e * $2.50 = $0.00 ($800.00 - ($37.00 + 10 * $5.30) - e * $2.50 = $0.00 ($800.00 - ($37.00 + $5.30) - e * $2.50 = $0.00 ($800.00 - $90.00) - e * $2.50 = $0.00 $710.00 - e * $2.50 = $0.00 $710.00 - e * $2.50 - $0.00 = $710.00 - $0.00 = $710.00 $2.50e = $710.00 $2.50e/$2.50 = $710.00/$2.50 = 284 e = 284 If black-and-white-striped uniforms cost $2.50, than I can buy 284 of them. I have spent all the money on my budget, so I have nothing left.
